A luxurious afternoon tea

An afternoon tea is a great way to enjoy Mother’s Day. Across Wales you’ll find a range of places to enjoy afternoon tea in style, many of which feature a sweet Welsh treat!

Unusual spots for a Mother's Day Afternoon Tea include Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water sites Llys-y-Frân Visitor Centre in Pembrokeshire, and Llandegfedd Lake Visitor Centre near Pontypool. Or enjoy a vintage steam train trip - Llangollen Railway and the Gwili Railway are running Mother's Day Afternoon Tea trains. For a little bit of style, Llanerch Vineyard, in the Vale of Glamorgan, is hosting an elegant afternoon of live music and exquisite afternoon tea treats. Prior booking is essential for most of these events.

The Toad is located in a lovely spot - on the promenade overlooking the coast in Conwy and it's dog-friendly too. For a day of shopping and excellent food, opt for The Parkgate Hotel in central Cardiff. Or spa and dine at the The Celtic Manor Resort, Newport.
