Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo is a fantastic family day out in Pembrokeshire. This award winning park has a wide range of attractions to enjoy and many creatures to see!
There's so much to do that you may not be able to fit it all into one day... so, if you are planning on visiting more than once, it might be cheaper to get an annual family pass. Tickets and optional extras like fairground tokens or ‘ride-all-day’ wristbands can be purchased on the day, or you can buy them online. Visit Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo for details on all tickets.
Zoo animals
As well as family favourites, you'll find some exotic species you might not see elsewhere. There are more than 90 different species, including Bactrian camels, lemurs and meerkats. Take a look at the lions, see penguins swimming and gaze at the giraffes. The zoo animals live in award winning enclosures that are designed to give them the best living conditions.
Some of the creatures are endangered and Folly Farm plays a large part in helping to breed them, raise money to help protect animals in the wild and share knowledge with other zoos. Folly Farm has been approved by the Rare Breed Survival Trust for their efforts and contribution to conserving rare breeds of livestock.
Glyndŵr the black rhino calf was the first rhino to be born in Wales. He's part of the Eastern black rhino captive reintroduction breeding programme, to help these endangered species.
Jolly Barn and Farm
There's a huge barn full of fluffy and feathery friends. Children will love getting up close to farm animals, such as goats, different breeds of sheep, pigs and a range of birds, including very cute babies. They can also see red deer, barn owls and alpacas, rabbits and guinea pigs.
Vintage fairground
Take a ride on the giant big wheel and enjoy views the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside and sea. There's a vintage fairground with rides that are under cover, so a shower won't spoil your fun. The Mighty Wurlitzer cinema organ completes that fun of the fair experience.
All weather play facilities
Younger members of the family will have great fun with the indoor and outdoor play facilities, so it's playtime no matter what the weather.
Facilities for all the family
Folly Farm is a venue for all, with a range of facilities for those with young children and with disabilities. Pathways are both buggy and wheelchair friendly.
Facilities include a family room with microwave, baby-changing facilities, sinks, and comfortable chairs for breastfeeding. There are also toilet cubicles with enough space for a double buggy, even with a toddler in tow.
Folly Farm was named the Disabled Access Welsh Venue of the Year in both 2019 and 2020. Accessible facilities include spaces for blue badge holders, non-motorised wheelchairs and motorised scooters for hire and a Changing Places toilet with a full size changing table and hoist. The Big Wheel and land train tractor ride both have an accessible carriage which can accommodate a wheelchair.
Food and drink
Keep your family fed and watered, with a range of food and drinks available throughout the park. Get stuck into a delicious locally produced burger at The Hungry Farmer, be tempted by a locally made Upton Farm ice-cream at one of the three Dairy Sheds onsite, or find the perfect spot to settle down for your own picnic.
Animal experiences and adoptions
It's a really exciting experience to get up close to animals. How do you fancy meeting a rhino? Have a giraffe or penguin eat out of your hand, or enjoy a lion experience. There's even a cuddly toy to take home, making an animal experience a superb gift, as does the animal adoption, with many creatures to choose from.
