About St Hilary Vineyard

Planted in 2021 in the glorious Vale of Glamorgan, St Hilary Vineyard's hectare of gently sloping vines is an exciting new vineyard project a mile from Cowbridge, at Glebe Farm, St Hilary.
Operated on low intervention, organic principles, with three varieties planted: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, owners Peter & Liz Loch planted their vines on premium farmland between an apple orchard, and a picturesque wildflower meadow.
Their aim is to produce delicious, artisan Welsh wines reflective of place - the vineyard and all of the surroundings characteristics which make it special - and will produce initially still, but in time also luxury traditional method sparkling.
And the dream is fast becoming realised, with October 2023 seeing a first full harvest. A still Rosé wine and a traditional method sparkling white wine are currently being made by the immeasurably experienced and talented team at Mountain People Wine in Tintern.
