About The AIG Women's Open July/August at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club

It will be the first time the Championship will have been hosted in Wales. It will be the largest women’s sporting event to be played in Wales which hopes to attract many Welsh sports fans, and those from further afield, to come and enjoy a true celebration of golf.

The Championship course will welcome the world's best golfers to the stunning Welsh coast for what is set to be a brilliant Championship, and the 49th playing of the AIG Women's Open overall.
Royal Porthcawl has a long and storied history of hosting top-level golf including The Amateur Championship on seven occasions, the Walker Cup in 1995, the Curtis Cup in 1964 and The Senior Open presented by Rolex in 2014, 2017 and 2023.

The sea can be seen from every hole and with all of them running in different directions, the wind is a constant factor.
