About Brechfa Forest

Brechfa is a huge forest about 17 miles from Carmarthen.

There are several car parks within the forest with waymarked walking trails from short riverside strolls to longer forest walks, and mountain bike trails suitable for beginners to experienced riders.

The Abergorlech car park just outside Abergorlech village is the starting point for three walking trails and a red-graded mountain bike trail.

The Byrgwm car park is a couple of miles from the village of Brechfa. The mountain bike trails include a route through the oak woodland for inexperienced cyclists and a black-graded trail to test the skills of experienced riders. There is also a walking trail through the forest.

The small Tower car park is situated a couple of miles from Brechfa village and is the starting point for a walking trail with valley views.

Please read the information panel at the start of the trails to make sure you pick a trail that’s right for you.
