With over 50 tunnels and upwards of 2000 varieties of plants it is definitely a plants persons paradise. we have a large selection of Cottage Garden perennials, Shrubs, Trees, Hostas, Alpines, Grasses, Herbs, Fruit, Veg, Ferns, Bedding, Cacti, Succulents, House Plants and Seeds and bulbs. We also hold the national collection of pitcher plants which is a lovely sight to see.
As a working nursery we are partially disability accessible. We encourage all customers to roam and have multiple staff on hand to help always. Our staff are all passionate plants people and are a friendly bunch who like to help.
The nursery itself is situated in the rolling hills of West Wales, we are lucky enough to be surrounded by nature. Our newest woodland gardens embrace the surrounding natural beauty, it is adorned with mature shrubs and trees but is enjoying a revamp with an array of plants being continuously added. The network of plants all intertwine and lead to a large pond which is home to our free range ducks as well as a few wild ones too. The oldest gardens have a serene fairy like presence with mature shrubs, trees and Hellebores that encapsulate meandering paths that lead to a fascinating little bridge. This woodland garden is often named ‘the fairy garden’ by children. Dogs on lead are welcome.
The nursery has a little tea house with free self service tea and coffee which also displays beautiful artwork by Elaine frank. There are also on site toilets. The gardens are also all free of charge to enjoy.
We pride ourselves on being community minded by supporting local events. Yearly we hold our Winter Gardening Weekend in Llandysul, the event always has a range of speakers on various gardening subjects, with local craft stands. It’s a lovely event that brings gardeners together in the Winter, encouraging that urge to grow !!. We also like to hold other events at the nursery itself such as Macmillan mornings and even having schools up here too.
