About Oriel Glyn Davies Gallery
The Oriel Glyn Davies Gallery on the gorgeous quayside in the castle town of Caernarfon, is run by multi-award-winning photo-artist, author & fine-art printer, Glyn Davies. Glyn has been a professional photo-artist since 1983 & is as passionate about landscape photography now as he's ever been. He has appeared numerous times on television, here and abroad, most recently the wonderful ITV series "The Island Strait". His books were bought as gifts by the Prime Minister for the Royal Wedding of William & Catherine. He has had many exhibitions in other venues in the UK and also in Vienna, and his prints are in collections worldwide.
The impressive gallery houses a huge choice of Welsh landscape prints but each image is available in five different sizes from unlimited A4s to very limited, 5ft x 4ft Limited Editions of just 5, meaning exclusivity as well as the pure artistic value.
There is no pressure or high powered sales talk from Glyn, just friendly chat, helpful advice and background stories to Glyn’s images.
If the image you love is not available in the size you want when you visit, prints & even framing (in the simple range of locally made frames available) can often be completed on the same day at most sizes.
These prints are not mass produced, but individually printed one at a time by Glyn before being visually checked and signed, on 200+ year archival fine-art paper. Glyn's print editions are limited to between 3 and 30 copies, unlike the 100s in editions that you sometimes see in other galleries.
Glyn's passion for the landscape is matched by his passion for the perfect print and this becomes clear to all discerning customers when visiting the gallery.
Books and greetings cards of Glyn’s images are also on sale in the gallery.
