About Pontypool Golf Club

Pontpool Golf Club has been established since 1903 and celebrated its Centenary in 2003, It is situated above the town of Pontypool and has excellent views of the Eastern Valley and down, across the Bristol Channel.
The course is overlooked by the Folly Tower a local landmark which is also the Golf Club Logo, The Folly was pulled down during the war to prevent German bombers using it to locate the Ordinance factory at Glascoed, and was rebuilt in 1994 and reopened by Prince Charles the Prince of Wales.

Situated in this idylic setting this course has lots of character and provides a good challenge to all handicaps alike.
