From every window there are breathtaking views of the surrounding hills & rolling countryside.
Welsh wool blankets, cushions and beautiful enamel wear adorn every room and fresh flowers will be lovingly placed for your arrival.
During our mid & peak seasons our little on-site pub 'Y Bwthyn' is open for a pint of our very own fforest beer or locally distilled fforest gin.
We also have an on-site, outdoor cedar barrel sauna which is available for you to use all year round.
The farmhouse has a huge, stunning grand entrance that leads to a spacious living area with a cosy wood-burning stove and lots of sofas and chairs to relax in. Just across the hallway is the kitchen & dining area with a massive table to gather around.
The staircase leads you upstairs to the five bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms -
3 x Double Bedrooms (2 are en-suite)
1 x Bunk Room ( with 2 sets of bunk beds )
1 x Family Room (with a double bed & 1 set of bunk beds & en-suite)
All the beds are made-up ready to go with towels provided (1 x hand, 1 x bath sheet for each guest).
The double/king size rooms have bathrobes (bathrobes aren't included with the bunk beds).
Outside is a private garden & barbecue area overlooking the Welsh countryside.
The farmhouse sits in 200 acres of beautiful, Pembrokeshire countryside which is free for you to explore during your stay. There are fields for children to run free, the river Teifi for a wild swim and tracks for a morning run.
The Welsh Wildlife Centre - Teifi Marshes are right on our doorstep. There is a fantastic, safe path all the way into Cardigan suitable for walkers and cyclists. Maybe stop for a treat in the Wildlife Centre cafe on your way back!
Cilgerran village is just a short drive or a 10 minute walk away and has a few pubs, two village shops, a Post Office and a most impressively a Castle.
There is also a fantastic circular gorge walk with great views of the river & Cilgerran Castle, or you can keep walking along the river to the village of Llechryd.
For your supermarket shop and a bit more variety there is the lovely market town of Cardigan just 10 minutes drive away. There are independent shops, bakers, butchers, cafes, restaurants a theatre and cinema all on the high street.
This part of West Wales has truly breathtaking scenery, fabulous blue flag beaches and countless villages to explore.
It really is a pristine natural playground and we would highly recommend having a Welsh adventure of your own - maybe a canoe trip from Cilgerran down the River Teifi with Heritage Canoes or a walk along the breathtaking Wales Coast Path.
Our Heritage Canoe trips run from Slate Cottage at the Welsh Wildlife Reserve, so it's right on your doorstep, and is suitable for all ages.
