The cottage was given the name as The Old Wash House due to the natural spring on the farm which originally ran through the building, therefore it was used as a wash house when it was a working farm. In recent times it was used as a ramshackle potting shed and office. An extensive renovation was completed in 2010, opening up rooms in the loft space to provide space for two of the bedrooms.
There is underfloor heating throughout the building and welsh slate tiles have been used to create a beautiful natural space. The cottage has been completed to a high standard and farrow and ball paints have been used in the decor along with materials from Laura Ashley.
