About Cedar - The Long Barn
Set within a nine-acre smallholding Cedar at the Long Barn is a stylish and sustainably crafted retreats for fun family escapes, dog-friendly and perfectly positioned that’s a perfect base for exploring Pembrokeshire.
Set on the soothing rural outskirts of Haverfordwest, The Cedar is an ideal escape for world-weary families, including their beloved dog, to re-discover the joys of spending relaxed, fresh-air-filled time together.
Cedar expertly combines raw, earthy materials – think slate, corrugated iron and stone – with touches of comfort and luxury – think rolltop bathtubs, vintage furnishings, and fresh coffee – that make a holiday feel special.
Light, bright, and beautiful, Cedar boasts enormous bi-fold doors that lets the sun stream inside… or you could simply throw them open and embrace the Great Outdoors, instead! The garden is home to a stargazing firepit that’s perfect for storytelling and marshmallow-toasting, and there’s an enclosed courtyard for drinks and conversation.
(Meanwhile, your four-legged friend will have their very own Dog House to unwind in, complete with homemade treats and an outdoor hot-and-cold doggy shower!)
If the weather is chilly, simply light the log-burner inside and settle into one of the squishy leather sofas, before finally making your way to your chosen bedroom – a double and a twin or super king (your choice), both with luxury en-suite facilities – for a sound night’s sleep.
What to do once you’ve settled in? Well, with 9 glorious, wide open acres of grounds to explore, you won’t have to stray far to find new things to do.
Get up close and personal with nature by taking a woodland walk by the stream, where you might catch sight of a kingfisher. Pack a tasty lunch and plant yourselves at one of the many picnic tables you’ll find in scenic spots or borrow the bat detector for an intriguing evening stroll!
Meanwhile there are plenty of delights to discover in Pembrokeshire, which is home to the UK’s only coastal National Park. Head for one of the many local golden-sand beaches – including Newgale and Barafundle Bay – or take a breezy stroll along the iconic coast path for an unforgettable day out.
