About Gwernouau, National Trust
Located near Conwy, Gwernouau is a pretty, 18th-century cottage that accommodates up to five guests and is part of a working farm on the Ysbyty Estate. The National Trust Holidays cottage was built by the Penrhyn Estate in the late 19th-century and has many original beams and other features still in place.
For the adventurous Eryri is perfect for hiking and climbing, ascend Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). Challenge yourself with various climbing routes and scrambles on mountains like Tryfan. Try kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding, discover a variety of walking trails, from leisurely strolls through villages like Betws-y-Coed to challenging hikes through ancient woodlands. This cottage, and all National Trust holiday cottages in the national park have been awarded silver status in this plastic-free business programme, and we are making changes to work towards gold status.
