About East Trewent Farm Self-Catering Cottages
A stone's throw from Freshwater East beach and the coastal path, we have three comfortable, well-equipped self-catering cottages full of character, converted from old farm buildings.
Cottage 1, The Cart House, sleeps four in two good sized bedrooms - one double and one twin room. The cottage has a downstairs bathroom, newly replaced in 2024, and a fully equipped kitchen including fridge freezer, electric hob and oven, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. The spacious living/dining room has French windows opening onto a patio and the field at the back of the cottages, as well as a large arched window where the old cart house doors used to be, opening onto the farmyard and a sunny patio with outdoor table and chairs.
Cottage 2 The Granary, sleeps six in three bedrooms - one double bedroom on the ground floor and one twin and one double bedroom upstairs. The kitchen is well equipped, with a fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. The lounge diner has a feature stone wall with an open gallery above and French windows onto the field at the back of the cottages.
Cottage 3 The Milking Parlour, is a cosy cottage sleeping two adults in a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. There is a spacious double-height living/dining room and a newly refurbished, well-equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher and washing machine, with French windows opening onto a flower-filled patio and large field.
All the cottages have their own patio at the back of the cottages to catch the morning sun and another at the front, in the farmyard, with outdoor table and chairs, and sunshade, ideal for breakfast al fresco or to catch the afternoon sun. Guests share the use of the large open field at the back of the cottages, which is perfect for enjoying the sound of the sea, playing an impromptu game of cricket or a quick early-morning dog walk. We also have a large barbecue that guests can borrow. All cottages have free fibre broadband Wi-Fi and outdoor power sockets for overnight charging at cost.
All our cottages are equipped with boring basics like washing up liquid, spare loo rolls, organic soap and bodywash etc. We also provide a welcome basket of tea, coffee, organic milk, bread, local Welsh butter, free-range organic eggs, homemade organic marmalade and something home-baked - usually Welshcakes or cookies - to help you recover from your journey. We are happy to lend you anything you may have forgotten, if we have it, and have spare bodyboards, buckets and spades, footballs and beach cricket for guests to borrow. There's plenty of storage for bikes, surf boards or boats and, as we also have some Bed and Breakfast rooms, if you'd like us to cook breakfast for you while you're here, that can be arranged for a reasonable additional charge.
