Conwy itself is a beautiful historic town and a UNESCO world heritage site. It has everything from Britain’s finest Elizabethan town house to the smallest house in Great Britain!
As well as the famous castle and the most complete town walls in Europe (which you can walk along the top of), Conwy is equipped with top end cafes, pubs and Michelin accredited restaurants together with boutique, independent artisan shops including bakeries and a renowned chocolatier. A morning walk in the woods overlooking the river, refreshments in one of the many cafes and tea houses and then the afternoon on the beach can all be done directly from the house without needing a car and Conwy train station is just a couple of hundred metres from the house. Conwy is also part of the North Wales coastal path & cycle paths.
The cottage borders Snowdonia National Park with all the walking and attractions that has to offer. The start of the Cambrian Way (Conwy to Cardiff) can be commenced from the cottage itself which takes in Snowdon for keen walkers.
Other activities include renowned golf, mountain biking, Surf Snowdonia, Zip World, wooded walks and the Bodnant estate including the world famous gardens.
Boat trips depart from the harbour just a stroll from the front door. Sychnant Pass is close where there is good walking, great views and wild horses. Conwy is a destination in itself but also serves as an excellent base for Snowdonia and North Wales.
Alternatively, just put your feet up and relax in the cottage with your favourite glass of something. There is fast fibre broadband internet and all the satellite televisions have Netflix, Amazon etc.
There is a zip-link super king size bed in the master bedroom which can be converted into two full size singles if desired and a double bed in the second bedroom. The mattresses are the best - Sealy Posturepedic & Silentnight. All linen and towels are provided.
There is a drying room (and tumble dryer) for wet weather gear and also a secure shed for bike storage together with a cleaning area with tap and hose pipe.
There is a peaceful sunny garden with outside seating.
