About Bythynnod Moel yr Iwrch Cottages
Located on the slopes of a secluded Welsh valley, Bythynod Moel Yr Iwrch Cottages offer the perfect place to relax, unwind and hide away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Wake up in the mornings to the sound of birdsong or lambs bleating in the fields. Step outside your door at night and gaze at the amazing display of stars in the dark sky, unspoilt as it is by any light pollution.
Whether you're looking to make the most of what Snowdonia and North Wales has to offer, or just want somewhere cosy to hole up in for a few days, look no further than these welcoming cottages.
The cottages are located on our family farm, close to our own farmhouse, which means we are on hand to welcome our guests and to offer help and advice if necessary. There is ample opportunity to meet our animals - pigs and piglets, chickens, sheep and not forgetting the new born lambs at Easter which are always a big hit. For a truly cultural experience, spend some time sitting outside your cottage and you're bound to hear some of the sing-song notes of our beautiful Welsh Language (even if it's a few choice words directed at the sheep dog!). Welsh is our family's first language and it's widely spoken in this part of Snowdonia - we'll teach you a phrase or two to impress your friends when you get home.
Perfectly located at the heart of Snowdonia National Park, with its ever-increasing number of exiting attractions, these lovely cottages offer you the ideal base from which to explore the area. Where else can you spend a morning up in the mountains and enjoy an evening watching the sun go down on the beach? For the adrenaline junkies amongst us the area is fast becoming a Mecca - Zip World, Tree Tops Adventure, Bounce Below, Whitewater Rafting, Surf Snowdonia - the list is endless - all within a 30-minute drive from our cottages.
All three cottages are fitted to a very high standard and stylishly combine modern conveniences such as under floor heating, power showers, wi-fi and flat screen TV's, with more traditional features like the original oak beams and slate flagstone floors.
