The accommodation includes a large open plan kitchen and living room area on the ground floor. Here you’ll find the kitchen well equipped with everything you need, including gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, microwave and washing machine. Plenty of pots and pans, utensils, crockery, cutlery and glasses. The lounge area has a log burner (with logs provided), and a TV with Freeview and radio stations, and a DVD player . The cottage has dedicated WI-FI. Patio doors lead onto a decking area, for the sole use of guests. There is wildlife in abundance and there is a small stream below the decking area, so please ensure children are supervised and accompanied by an adult at all times.
Both kingsize bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms, and towels and bedding are provided. We also offer the option of twin beds in both bedrooms, if preferred, but require at least one days notice to change the room set-up. A comfortable fold up single bed can also be arranged for the large bedroom, ideal for a small child or other family member. If required, a further two guests can be accommodated downstairs on the double futon, but please take note that bathrooms are accessed via bedrooms upstairs - as long as you are comfortable with this with arrangement.
Please be aware that there are low beams throughout the property, and you will need to take care, especially in darkness!
Beehive Cottage is located on a very quiet, unnamed country Lane. Right on the Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion border, with the nearest National Trust beaches just 15 miles away. No light pollution here - so if you enjoy stargazing, on a clear night the stars are quite spectacular!
We are in a remote and rural area, so a car is considered essential. It’s a short drive to Llanybydder, where you will find a small supermarket (open early and until 10pm daily) and pubs serving food. Further on (15mins drive) is the University town of Lampeter, with larger supermarkets, independent shops and cafes, banks and a Museum. Carmarthen is 15 miles away, and has a railway station, large shopping area, many restaurants, Art Galleries and Cinema.
