About Abermydyr, National Trust

Nestling in the magical wooded valley of the Aeron, Abermydyr, with its small arched windows and yellow façade, is thought to be designed in the early 19th-century by the architect, John Nash, who built Buckingham Palace. A National Trust holiday cottage, Abermydyr sits on the Llanerchaeron estate which John Nash designed for the Lewis family and the cottage was built for their coachman. A world away from a grand palace, this three bedroom woodland retreat feels exceptionally cosy inside. Dark wooden floors and exposed beams are met by a warming log-burner and traditional furnishings.
