About Gregynog Hall - Courtyard Rooms
Gregynog’s grounds are open the everyone, every day. There are some level walks around the Lily Pond and down our drives to Bwlch y Ffridd. The Great Wood Walk and Warren Walk offer a little more challenge – but your reward will be stunning views across the Montgomeryshire countryside.
Our way–marked walks will guide you past our bird hide in Garden House Wood, alongside the lily pond lake to Margaret Davies’ painting shed – recently restored for a woodland wedding. Our buzz-y apiary in the Dell is designed to give visitors the chance to allow close but safe access to the bees. There are information boards explaining the bees’ lifecycle and their vital importance to the planet. You can find out more about our bees and training apiary at Montgomeryshire Beekeepers Association (montybees.org.uk).
Our walks are largely maintained by people’s feet and dog’s paws in order to minimise our environmental impact – so remember your boots and dress for the weather! There is no additional charge for walking at Gregynog but remember your parking donation helps us to maintain the Estate.
We have a range of accommodation including en-suite Courtyard Rooms, Heritage Rooms in the main house (shared bathrooms) and a holiday cottage in the grounds which sleeps 8 people over 4 rooms.
