About The Hiveaway

Tucked away in one and a half acres of wildflower meadow and overlooking the stunning Teifi Valley, The Hiveaway is a cosy cabin, perfect for exploring West Wales. This bespoke cabin has been designed in a gentle curve, mirroring the landscape around with hexagonal windows creating the impression of a honeycomb. It’s been handcrafted using reclaimed and antique pieces such as the Welsh chapel doors and the slate worktops from an old snooker table. It’s a peaceful spot to reconnect with nature, cooking outdoors over the fire pit or relaxing in the wood-fired hot tub as the sun sets over the valley.

The cabin is a cosy hideaway all year round with a log burner to keep you warm and toasty in chilly weather and a deck outside for when the sun is shining. In the mornings, wake up in your king size bed with its stargazing skylight above and open up the cabin doors. You’ll be able to enjoy the view down to the valley from the comfort of your bed as you sip your morning coffee. Get breakfast on the go in the well-equipped kitchen and start planning the day’s adventures at the dining table inside, or out on the deck in the summer months.
After a trip to the beach or a long walk in the countryside, put your feet up in the snug and relax in front of the log burner or get the wood-fired hot tub going. The ensuite means there’s no need to leave any home comforts behind and it features a fab, hot rainfall shower. There’s also a fire pit area to the front of the cabin where you can cook dinner on the grill and stay out late into the evening stargazing and toasting marshmallows.

There’s plenty to explore in the surrounding area and the first thing you might want to do is wander from the cabin, over a little bridge crossing a stream and then head up to the top field. Here, you’ll be able to enjoy the panoramic views and spot birds of prey and insects buzzing around the wildflowers as you get your bearings. There are plenty of walking trails, including a beautiful footpath along the river to Henllan Falls. Activities such as kayaking, coasteering and rock climbing can all be organised at Llandysul Paddlers nearby. The cabin is also close to the coast and a short drive will get you to New Quay or the Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron.
