We are ideally situated in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons National Park / Bannau Brycheiniog National Park where you can hike, walk, swim, fish and horse ride right from our doorstep. Llangorse Lake and multi activity centre is just a short 7 miles away if you fancy an activity filled day.
Our Glamping units - Bell Tents (with private Shepherds Hut Kitchenettes) and a Luxury Camping Cabin are set apart from each other in a gently sloping field, bordered by the river Cynrig in a quiet and peaceful area; you will not find a more perfect location. The glamping campsite is wonderful for kid's adventures, with ample space for them to play at being Indian braves whilst you relax and enjoy your peaceful surroundings, shrouded in rustic luxury.
Our Luxury Cabin is Robs own version of the popular Eco Pod and offers solar powered lighting, full insulation and has a log burner for heating. New for 2024 the cabin now has mains powered electrical points allowing use of hairdryers, toasters, kettles and other electrical times. The Cabin has a King size Memory Foam Bed and two sets of (Full Sized) Single Bunk Beds - all hand built by Rob, even an earthquake would be pushed to move these beds. Rob's attention to detail is second to none - from the hand built shelving to the reading lights so thoughtfully placed in the headboard of the main bed. The living area is filled with comfortable sofas and chairs with the main feature being a close call between the cosy log burner or the rustic, one-of-a-kind, coffee table built by Rob. We will let you choose your favourite feature when you visit!!
Undercover on the cabin patio is a fully-stocked kitchenette featuring a gas 4 burner hob, a wood fired oven, a root cellar for food storage and providing all your cooking essentials. New for 2024, this area now has mains powered electric allowing for a small fridge, toaster and kettle. Also on the patio is a sheltered dining table, great for enjoying a meal Al Fresco!!
The cabin has its own unique outdoor bucket shower at the rear heated by the sun or by boiling the kettle on the gas hobs or open fire/log burner. New for 2024 the cabin has its own private flush toilet in a stylish outhouse to the rear of the cabin - our guests are referring to it as the 'nightclub' toilet due to its one-of-a-kind decor. If that is not enough, the Cabin By The River hosts its own outdoor BBQ/Campfire, seating and Hammock area - perfect for spending the evening enjoying our starry night skies.
The bell tents are the perfect way to spend a night away under canvas and make the most of the dark sies area. The bell tents also hosts their own private kitchenette, dining and sofa area in a Shepherds Hut structure. Supplied in our small Bell Tent is a small double bed with memory foam mattress, single futon, log burner, firewood*, firelighters, basic cushions, solar lights. We can supply an additional small foam Z bed on request. Our large bell tent has a double bed and three single futons.
In the Shepherds Hut kitchenettes there are table and chairs, sofa bed cool box, gas camping stoves and all your essential cooking equipment. The bell tents each have their own outdoor BBQ/Campfire, seating and hammock area. The Bell Tents also have use of the communal al fresco kitchen area which has more gas cooking appliances and lots of cooking implements. There is also access to a solar powered freezer where you can help yourself to ice-packs for your cool box. The Bell Tent has its own assigned toilet and shower in the shared toilet block so you will have private facilities for the duration of your stay.
