Dog-friendly attractions in North Wales
Among the many dog-friendly things to see and do on Anglesey in North Wales, is the family attraction Foel Farm Park. Meet and feed the animals, enjoy the farm walk and if you opt to take a tractor and trailer ride, rest assured dogs can ride on the tractor too!
All Zip World sites across Wales are dog-friendly, and while you can’t take your dog with you on the zip line ride, both the Penrhyn Quarry and Llechwedd sites have doggy day care available if booked in advance.

In Mid Wales, take a trip on Aberystwyth’s dog-friendly Vale of Rheidol Railway. Hop aboard the historic narrow-gauge steam railway to enjoy the spectacular scenery on the route to Devils Bridge waterfalls, which is also dog-friendly.

Exploring the dog-friendly Pembrokeshire coast with your four-legged friend is fantastic, with its glut of dog-friendly sandy beaches. You can even take a day trip from Tenby Harbour or Castle Beach to Caldey Island with your furry friend, as the island welcomes well behaved dogs on a lead.
Dog-friendly attractions in South Wales
There are plenty of great locations for dog walks in South Wales and there are lots of dog-friendly things to see and do in the Welsh capital of Cardiff. In the heart of the city explore the grounds of historic Cardiff Castle with your dog. The extensive Bute Park, which is adjacent to the castle is also perfect for dog walks and games.
On the outskirts of the city, you can discover a wealth of Welsh history on a visit to the open air dog-friendly St Fagans National Museum of History.
Further afield in the Wye Valley, the historic village of Tintern is particularly dog-friendly with pups made welcome in most shops and eateries. Dogs are also welcome in the grounds of the impressive medieval ruins of Tintern Abbey.
