About The Lyric Theatre
It has three seating levels; the stalls, mezzanine and circle can seat up to 665, but some of the seats in the circle are slightly restricted. As the Lyric is an old building and we could not change the fabric of the building but we could change some things. To make the auditorium slightly more flexible we made sure that the first 6 rows in the stalls removable, this allows us to programme cabaret events into the space which works brilliantly and has proved successful with shows such as the Bluestocking Lounge.
