About Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse
Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse stages 14 exciting jump racing fixtures each year on the banks of the River Dee.
Fixtures run from February through to December and aside from the jumps action on the track of this National Hunt course, there are often many other activities taking place on the day. Family themed fixtures and Saturday meetings are the perfect opportunity for families to visit the course and children aged 17 and under are eligible to attend every race day absolutely free.
Bangor-on-Dee’s unique character is exemplified by the fact that this is the only racecourse in the British Isles that doesn´t have a Grandstand, but that doesn’t detract from the many fantastic vantage points, the grass bank providing a natural amphitheatre to the racing action. In the concourse areas, hearty food and cosy bars add to the ‘Bangor’ experience, all a stone’s throw away from spotting one of racing’s stars in the Paddock.
Easily accessible via the motorway, the course is located just 10 minutes from the A483, 10 minutes from Wrexham and 25 minutes from Chester.
Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse look forward to welcoming you during the Year of Discovery.
